Therapeutic Foster Care Parent Requirements:

Be at least 21 years old



Have less than three children already living in the home



Complete necessary screenings and training


Foster children must have a designated bedroom.*

Please note that unfinished attics, basements, and temporary sleeping arrangements (such as futons or day-beds) do not meet these requirements.



*They may have their own individual bedroom or share a room with a sibling or another foster child, depending on their specific needs and in accordance with North Carolina’s Therapeutic Foster Care guidelines.
